Myself and my girlfriend Kam are moving into number 23 on Monday 8th August, we’re looking forward to it!
Does anybody have any advice about where to park a van while we move in, given the double yellows outside the front? Is it possible to pull a van into the courtyard temporarily?

Hi everyone,
Ruth and I moved into Flat 4 back at the beginning of June. We only found this website when the minutes of the Q3 meeting came out, so wanted to introduce ourselves and say Hi. Looking forward to meeting you all at the next residents meeting.
Yesterday we at flat 7 noticed some markings that indicated an attempt at forced entry on our front door. It looked like a crowbar testing our door and checking to see if we used the dead bolts.
Just letting everyone know that if you see anyone moving stuff from flat 7 that isn’t a girl with large glasses (willow), a boy with a large curly moustache (Anders), or a skinny guy with dark hair and a bit beardy (james), please ask them what they are doing and ultimately phone the police.
Have you had any similar experiences / attempts with your flat?
I’m wondering if it just our flat that was being tested.

Myself (Dan) and my Fiancé Kate are moving in to Flat 22 over the weekend. We are really looking forward to it and absolutely fell in love with the building the moment we saw it. If you see us lugging things up the stairs do smile and say hello.

To all in Eastside Academy come along..
-byo everything ..we have 200 metres of the road closed down eg tables, chairs picnic and drinks
-tables being set up at 10am
-residents and their friends and families
-i am the co-ordinator my name is david 079463555 and i own flat 30 at eastside
-not a pro royal event especially just happy the people can have a street for the day
-bring battery powered radio
-spurstowe and violets open early for refeshments
-pass the word on
-hopefully an old piano on the street for old eastend songs
-violets doing a bunting workshop on tuesday night
see you at the street party ,,begins from 10am until afternoon..

Hey all,
Wer’re in the process of buying a flat in the “outbuilding” on Institute Place… we’re pretty close to completing and are really looking forward to moving in and being part of the community!
We just wanted to ask a couple of questions if possible…
1) How would we go about buying/renting a car parking space?
2) in the lease it mentions that the management company paint the exterior and interior of the flats at regular intervals… does that mean they redecorate the inside of all the flats – does that then mean we can’t decorate ours ourselves and ask them not to come in and paint it?
3) in the lease it also mentions no satellite dishes but there are clearly a few around the flats… are they strict about this?
4) I’m not sure how many of the flats have old Parquet floor in them… ours appears to but it’s covered with a laminate.. has anyone restored theirs? if so, was it in decent condition and how complicated was the process!?

Hi All,
In the past week we had a very unwelcome mouse in our flat. I suspect he entered when we replaced our floor. But, I am pressed to get rid of it before it starts breeding! I plan to set up cruetly-free mouse traps but, could really use a good mouse-hunter!
So, if you think your cat would be up for the job we’d love to have him/her for a night! We’re a house of cat lovers and we’d be very happy to provide food, lots of treats and water… not to mention the entertainment of a good hunt!
