Handy Man??

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a good odd job guy, I’ve heard there is someone that regularly does jobs in the building?

Its simple stuff really, putting up shelves, door handles, and if possible fitting locks to internal doors, and door hanging…

If anyone knows of anyone, please let me know!!

Thank you!

Simon the Skip

skip.jpg

Hello all fellow neighbours. We’re planning to do a little flat renovation in february so first of all, we’ll aim to keep the noise down, and work within hours when most people are away at work.

Secondly, we’re looking to hire a skip for a day of two during that month. If our renovations coincide with yours, maybe you’d like to share one?

Also, does anyone know the code to the back large gate? If so, please could you email it to me at willow[at]doublevay[dot]com.

And, I’m sure it goes without saying, if you’re lying at home with a migraine, and we’re hammering loudly, come tell us to keep it down.

over and out,

New Boiler

I need to fit a new boiler as the Biasi seems to be falling apart. I think all the flats had a Biasi fitted on the conversion to flats.

Per new legislation it will have to be a condensing combi boiler which is more energy efficient but does require a waste outlet of slightly acidic water which needs to be plumbed directly in to the waste outlet (houses) or a toilet (flats).

I have asked a British Gas plumber to quote but she told me that she had already tried to fit 3 boilers in Eastside but had found it impossible everytime due to access of shared areas and flumes and plumbing of the waste pipe. That the freeholder refused all requests and the only way to fit on 2nd floor was to scaffold up to it meaning the costs were high.

Does anyone know what she is talking about and have any of you had one fitted recently? Love a recomendation of plumber too if you have and the approx cost. Many thanks in advance (flat 22)

Ladders?

Hi,

Philip from flat 10 here – are there ladders on the property, or do I need to go rent one from somewhere?

A List of Recommended Electricians

Aspect – 020 8879 6940
“They deal with everything (all Aspect(s)!) not only electricity. And if they don’t do the job properly they won’t just run away and leave you to clean up the mess but they will come back and fix until you are happy with the work. I thought that was really unusual and worth recommending them for.” sofie macgregor

Chris – 0772 511 4641
“excellent attention to detail, highly rated” willow tyrer
