New Boiler
I need to fit a new boiler as the Biasi seems to be falling apart. I think all the flats had a Biasi fitted on the conversion to flats.
Per new legislation it will have to be a condensing combi boiler which is more energy efficient but does require a waste outlet of slightly acidic water which needsĀ to be plumbed directly in to the waste outlet (houses) or a toilet (flats).
I have asked a British Gas plumber to quote but she told me that she had already tried to fit 3 boilers in Eastside but had found it impossible everytime due to access of shared areas and flumes and plumbing of the waste pipe. That the freeholder refused all requests and the only way to fit on 2nd floor was to scaffold up to it meaning the costs were high.
Does anyone know what she is talking aboutĀ and have any of you had one fitted recently? Love a recomendation of plumber too if you have and the approx cost. Many thanks in advance (flat 22)

Hi
My Biasi boiler failed too last year. I contacted my landlord who got it replaced and it has worked ok since. I live on the first floor in flat 43. I believe my new boiler is of the type you described in your message (condensing combi boiler). I seem to remember that the plumber who replaced it was one of my landlord’s relatives so maybe you should call my landlord to find out if he could help you and recommend someone. His name is Grant 07768194562. Good luck
our boiler has just failed too.
can anyone recommend a good plumber?
do you think these boilers have all reached their life expectancy?
any help much appreciated.
Thanks,
