Building Security
When residents/tenants are moving on to pastures new, please respect the people you leave behind.
Security is an issue at Eastside and it would help if, on the day of your move, the main doors are not left wedged open and unattended. In fact, heavy vehicles should not been driven onto the paving outside the main door in Dalston Lane, instead, please utilise the entrance in Institute Place. Code for the padlock on the gate can be obtained from Crabtree or a director. The paved area outside the Dalston Lane entrance is unsuitable for heavy vehicles, many paving slabs are sunken or cracked (another job to add the never-ending list of things to be done around the place!)
There has been plenty of evidence recently that uninvited “guests” have been making themselves feel at home. Perhaps you haven’t been burgled, or found drug paraphernalia outside your door, or had to boot out a bunch of kids running amok through the building, but once you do, you realise how important it is to make our building secure. This also means not buzzing unsolicitored callers to the building – Use the rule of thumb – “If I don’t know you, you are not coming in!”
Thank you.
