We have just discovered this forum and it is a fantastic resource.

We moved in 8 months ago and have only just heard about it.

I think there should be a fresh drive to get everyone on here… it is invaluable, especially in light of such regrettable incidents such as the vagabond’s dirty protest on the welcome mat becoming more and more frequent.

Perhaps we should place some posters in and around the entrance hall?

Sorry to complain on my first post but can I ask why after 18 months of works every weekend have the stairs to the right of the building still not complete? The wooden floors have been finally stripped now but the bit below each step is yet to be painted. Alos there is one landing with some type of glued tiles that are yet to be stripped. Is this the way it will remain forever? I would have preferred the soiled carpets! Anyway anyone have any knowledge of what is going on?

 Otherwise things are great and summer is here and when is the next Eastside party???

I am new to this site.

First I should thank you people in flat 7 for putting this web page together and sharing it with the community. 

Does anybody hold a set of keys to both the gas and electricity meters for the flats located on the Institute Place side?

The locks have been changed (again…) and access to all meters seems now to be fairly restricted which makes it a total hassle to monitor one’s energy consumption and get readings or settle a dispute with British Gas (my case).  I think that for all these reasons all residents should be granted a free and permanent access the meter rooms.

Your help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
